10th Annual
South Central Regional Art Exhibition
A Huge Success!

The Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council sponsored the 10th Annual South Central Regional Exhibition May 8-June 20, 2002 in cooperation with the Mankato Area Arts Council, which owns and operates the historic Carnegie Arts Center.

"This juried exhibit is an opportunity for emerging and established artists to display their work in a professional setting", noted Brenda Flintrop, Executive Director.  The show encompassed a variety of mediums which included: drawings and paintings in acrylic, oil and watercolor; mixed media; photography; fiber; ceramics; sculpture and woodcarving.

A total of 100 works of art were displayed.  The exhibition jurors were Stewart Turnquist, an artist, designer and Coordinator of the MN Artists Exhibition Program at the Minneapolis Institute of Art; and James Wegner, a retired art instructor of Riverland Community College, Austin.
