Art Centers:

410 Project, Mankato

410 Project is a volunteer managed community art space, serving both artists and community members through southern Minnesota. Through exhibitions, programs, and special projects, 410 Project present a welcoming, integrated, and diverse experience that encourages questioning, creativity, and critical thinking.

Arts & Heritage Center of Montgomery

The Arts and Heritage Center has served the community for over 25 years. Their mission is to promote the arts and cultural heritage of Montgomery and the surrounding area. They are located in the lower level of Historic Hilltop Hall.

Arts Center of Saint Peter

Monthly exhibits and a variety of youth and adult art classes and clay classes are offered at their location in downtown St. Peter. They provide inspiring exhibits, engaging performances, important education, and meaningful community outreach.

Carnegie Art Center, Mankato

They host artist studios, monthly exhibits and a unique Gift Shop featuring original art work by local artists. They strive to be a vibrant community destination that inspires, nurtures, and expands artistic, cultural, and educational experiences.

Fairmont Opera House

This historic theater is a significant community asset, adding to the quality of life in and around Fairmont for close to 150 years. The space is used for local and professional plays, live music, arts performances, local events, and private receptions and gatherings.

Mankato Makerspace

They offer an extensive variety of art classes and memberships. Run solely by volunteers, they are dedicated to providing workspace, tools, and knowledge to the community.

Red Rock Center for the Arts, Fairmont

Red Rock Center for the Arts offers a variety of opportunities to engage in quality arts education, performing and visual arts experiences, along with providing a beautiful rental space for any special occasion.

Sidetracked, Mankato

A curious art salon and art thrift shop with a free studio space called Art for All, located in Mankato.

The Grand Center for Arts and Culture, New Ulm

They provide the community with an art gallery, space for music practice, private artist studio spaces, an arts education area, and live performance space.

Twin Rivers Council for the Arts, Mankato

The mission of Twin Rivers is to create an atmosphere or environment that supports creatives, educates the community on the value of the creative sector and integrates the arts into the fabric of our lives.

Waseca Art Center

They host exhibits and performances and teach a variety of art classes. They strive to instill creativity and teach form and function to all artists and guests that come to Waseca Art Center seeking a fun, relaxing, and well rounded artistic experience.

College Galleries:

Conkling Art Gallery

Located at Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Nelson Hall. The space primarily showcases work by graduate students, faculty, and professional touring exhibits.

CSU Gallery

Located on the lower level of the Centennial Student Union at Minnesota State University, Mankato. The space showcases both undergraduate and graduate student art work in all mediums.

Lookout Gallery Gallery

Located at South Central College’s Mankato campus.

Ylvisaker Fine Arts Center

Located at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. This building houses the art, music, and theatre departments and hosts many art exhibits, concerts, and theater performances.

Community Theaters:

Curtain Call Theatre

Curtain Call Theatre season’s has varied over the years. Check their website for any upcoming events.

Mankato Playhouse

They provide the local and surrounding communities an opportunity to experience and be involved in quality musical theater.

Merely Players Community Theatre, Mankato

They provide opportunities for participation in the dramatic arts in a safe and creative environment. They hold most performances at Lincoln Community Center in Mankato.

Springfield Community Theatre

Springfield Community Theatre began in 1982 and has been providing the community with high quality theater. They will work in conjunction with the Springfield Public School to introduce theater to students.

State Street Theater Company, New Ulm

They foster the joy and art of theater to all ages and backgrounds in and around New Ulm, via education and productions. They responsibly care for and interpret the historic site and murals on behalf of those same residents and patrons and to provide its spaces to others in the community.
